The itinerary

One call. Three steps.

One short form to start. From there, your agent walks every step with you, start to finish.

  1. Close view of a hand holding a pen over a printed plan-comparison checklist, ticking items off line by line, with an orange folder beneath the pages

    Step 1

    Tell us what changed.

  2. A Madrinas advisor in a blue blouse goes over enrollment paperwork across a desk with a client in a white t-shirt, while two colleagues work at desks behind them in the office

    Step 2

We compare every plan on your real yearly cost.

  3. Madrinas team members in light-blue polos and caps talk with visitors at a community event table, in front of pull-up banners reading Seguros de Salud and College Funding with the illustrated madrinas

    Step 3

We file on Georgia Access and confirm your first payment.

There's no fee for our services

We're compensated by the insurance carriers, not by the consumer.

Our licensed agents help you compare, quote, and enroll at no cost. Carriers pay us the same commission no matter which plan you pick, so the only thing we're working for is the right fit for your family.

Lost Medicaid? Your 60 days already started.

Your 60 days start the day coverage ended, not the day the letter arrived. Not sure when? We’ll check, free. Other life events count too: job loss, new baby, turning 26, marriage, divorce or a move.

  • A tidy white desk with an empty light-colored chair tucked beneath it, a framed print and a small plant in a vase, in a bare, brightly lit home office with no one at work

    Lost your job or coverage

Losing work coverage opens a 60-day window to enroll now. We find your plan before the gap costs you.

  • Overhead view of a dark wooden desk with the corner of an open laptop, a cup of black coffee, a pair of reading glasses and a tablet, in the warm light of a home workspace

    Run your own business

1099 income and no group plan. We compare every carrier and help you estimate your income so tax time holds no surprise.

  • Close-up of a newborn baby’s tiny bare foot resting on a soft white blanket, the toes curled slightly, lit by gentle window light

Just had a baby or turned 26

Both count as a life change. We get your family covered with no gap.

  • A person’s hands work a desktop calculator in front of an open laptop showing a spreadsheet, with orange folders and a glass of water on the wooden desk

    2026 premium jumped

Before you drop your plan, we check what you actually qualify for now and find the best total cost.

Your questions, answered

What is Georgia Access?

Georgia’s health insurance marketplace. It replaced HealthCare.gov, and you enroll through a certified agent.

What will this cost me now that the extra help is gone?

It depends on your household and income. We compare every plan on total yearly cost and check what help still applies.

Do I qualify with my income and situation?

One call tells you. 1099 and cash income count. If you don’t qualify for help, we’ll say so and point you to clinics that can.

I lost Medicaid. Can I still get covered?

You may. Losing Medicaid opens a 60-day window. We’ll check your dates, free.

Is your help really free?

Yes. Carriers pay us. You never get a bill.

Who sees my information?

Only you and your agent, for your enrollment. We never sell it.

Can I keep my clinic or my doctor?

We check every plan against your doctors and prescriptions before you choose.

Can I enroll outside Open Enrollment?

Only after a life event like losing coverage, a new baby, marriage or a move. Open Enrollment starts November 1.

Do I need to be a U.S. citizen?

No. Lawfully present immigrants can enroll. In mixed-status families, eligible members can still be covered.

When does coverage start?

Usually the first of next month, once your first payment is made.
