Can I enroll through HealthCare.gov in Georgia?
No. Georgia residents now enroll through Georgia Access, the state’s own marketplace. HealthCare.gov no longer handles Georgia enrollment.
Do I need an agent to sign up for Georgia Access?
Yes. Georgia Access has no self-enrollment website, so every application goes through a certified agent or approved enrollment partner. A madrina walks you through it step by step.
Does it cost anything to talk with a madrina?
No. Your consultation with a madrina is free. You only pay for a plan if you choose one and enroll.
I lost my Medicaid. How long do I have to get new coverage?
You usually have 60 days after losing Medicaid to enroll in a Georgia Access plan. Bring your notice, and a madrina explains your deadline and options.
Will I be able to afford a plan?
Your cost depends on your income, household size, and the federal savings you qualify for. A madrina reviews them with you before you apply.
What happens if I don’t qualify for savings?
