I've had my Obamacare coverage for over a year and I'm extremely happy with the fast, efficient service. I'm especially grateful for the excellent care from Las Madrinas.

What our clients say
Rosmari Carrera is an amazing agent. Always helpful and polite. I highly recommend her.
Sandra is the best insurance agent! Very compassionate and understanding. Always there and ready to help. Very hard working employee.
Pregnant, lost coverage or changed jobs? Your window may be open.
Illinois has no penalty, so nobody warns you when coverage lapses. A life change opens a Special Enrollment window, usually 60 days, and pregnancy can too. The clock starts at the event, not when you notice. We’ll check your dates, free.
-
Lost your job or coverage
Losing work coverage opens a 60-day window to enroll now. We find your plan before the gap costs you.
-

Get Covered Illinois: your questions answered
What is Get Covered Illinois?
Illinois’s own marketplace. It replaced HealthCare.gov starting with 2026 coverage. Federal help still applies.
My insurance moved. Am I still covered?
Not always. If you never claimed your account, your plan may not have carried over. We’ll check, free.
Do I have to renew?
Don’t assume it’s automatic. Open Enrollment for 2027 opens November 1. We’ll check your renewal with you.
I’m pregnant. Can I enroll now?
You may not have to wait. Illinois offers a pregnancy Special Enrollment Period. We’ll confirm your window.
Is your help really free?
Yes. Carriers pay us. You never get a bill.
Can I enroll outside Open Enrollment?
Only after a life change, like pregnancy, a new baby, lost coverage, marriage or a move. You usually have 60 days.
Do I need to be a U.S. citizen?
No. Many lawfully present immigrants can enroll, and eligible members of mixed-status families can be covered. We check privately.
When does coverage start?
Usually the 1st of next month. Newborns can be covered from birth.
