Yes, the madrina consultation is free. Your madrina explains your notice, your savings options, and your plan choices in Spanish or English.
I used HealthCare.gov before. Why is New Jersey different now?
New Jersey now runs its own marketplace, Get Covered New Jersey, with separate accounts, dates, and income checks. A madrina helps you set up your account so your coverage doesn’t lapse.
