Your state sends a letter with the date your coverage ends. You can switch to an ACA Marketplace plan, and we help you do it.

How long do I have to get a new plan?

Losing Medicaid or CHIP opens a Special Enrollment Period. You can pick a plan up to 60 days before your coverage ends. If it already ended, HealthCare.gov gives you up to 90 days after the end date; state marketplaces allow 60 or 90 days. Pick before it ends to avoid a gap.

How much will an ACA plan cost?

It depends on your income and household. Tax credits lower the monthly cost for many people. Our help is free. If you choose a private plan, the insurance company pays us.

My child is losing CHIP. What now?
